In the transfer window, they should look to be signing a central midfielder, namely jake Livermore if Steve Bruce and Assam Allem can get him for £7 mil or less. If not the rumored signing of Ryan Bertrand could be a quality investment by Bruce, if he is willing to switch to a 4 man back system. Bendtner has also been linked to the club, but with the signings of Long and Jelavic, it looks unlikely. Ideally, though, they should look to sign a quality central midfielder, and another outside back.
